Smart management

Smartphone replaces key

Finally putting an end to cumbersome key management in the office or practice.

Reading and responding to emails, booking a hotel for a business trip or reading recommendations for the best restaurant for a business dinner – nowadays, most business people take care of all this by smartphone. So why not manage access to the office or practice by smartphone too? This would put an end to the tiresome act of tracking down who has the keys to the copy room or archive. Or are you even obligated for legal reasons to track who opened which door and when in your business? Then DOM Tapkey is the ideal solution. This new app gives you a very easy way to send an authorisation for opening the door to the smartphone of your employee.

This is because Tapkey is an app that works like a virtual key ring. Together with DOM digital cylinders and fittings, Tapkey can be used to create a digital access control system for your company in a matter of minutes:

  • Download the Tapkey app from the Google or Apple Store
  • Activate your account
  • Connect it to the digital cylinder or fitting in your practice or office using a smartphone with a compatible NFC or BLE interface

Now you can conveniently organise all access authorisations from your smartphone:

  • You use your smartphone as a transponder by simply holding your smartphone with the compatible NFC or BLE interface in front of the reading field of the cylinder or fitting
  • You assign authorisations to employees, customers or service providers (e.g. tradespeople, cleaning workers) who can then open or close the doors with their smartphones or tablets
  • In seconds, you can use your smartphone to program one or more DOM Tapkey transponders that can be conveniently attached to a key ring, for example – ideal for employees who prefer a traditional mode of access
  • The flat DOM Tapkey sticker transponder gives you a transponder solution that can be simply stuck to the back of smartphones – ideal for mobile phone users without a compatible NFC interface

Clever business

Opening the door is naturally free of charge for your employees and customers! Regardless of the number of locking cylinders, up to 5 smartphone users can be activated in the system free of charge. Any smartphone user can be authorised to access up to all locking devices in the system. For more than 5 users Tapkey offer package prices. The number of transponders is not limited in the free version.

Security first

DOM Tapkey uses the most start-of-the-art servers in the EU. All communication between the app and the cylinder is end-to-end encrypted. If an administrator issues access authorisations to other users, the process is secure and protected by an encrypted Google ID or Tapkey ID. If your device is stolen or damaged, simply deactivate it via Google and cancel the validity of the Google ID for this device.
